Controversy Over Meat Consumption
A lot of controversy exists regarding the consumption of meats in our diet. This latest study is one of the largest ever to investigate this. Below are the findings.
“Consumption of unprocessed red meats and poultry were not associated with any increased risk of death. However, the study did find a significantly increased risk for death due to cardiovascular disease, cancer, and “other causes” associated with consumption of processed meats. The authors concluded that 3.3% of deaths could be prevented if all participants reduced consumption of processed meats to a level of 20 g/day or less.”

So limit the processed luncheon meat, hot dogs, etc. and go with unprocessed red meat and poultry and fish. For red meat grass fed beef is best.
